Medellín is the economic center of a metropolitan area of about 4 million inhabitants, around 1,400,000 people circulate through its administrative and economic center every day, over the last 30 years it has suffered a gradual deterioration fed in Part of it was the implementation of the high-rise railway that changed the morphology and generated areas of expropriation and even prioritized 4-lane vehicular streets under its structure.
The DAP Medellín in 2012, prioritized in its POT the commitment to reverse this condition by implementing the MEDCentro plan, guiding the planning of the city, based on exercises that prioritize sustainable, sustainable and equitable development. In 2014, an intervention area of ??170,577 m2 was generated, comprised of streets, squares and squares, all adjacent to the Metro mass transport system.
Urban sustainability is the guiding axis of the project are derived from the 6 fundamental axes:
1. Prioritize pedestrian accessibility and mobility
2. Promote the bicycle transport system
3. Regulation and reduction of vehicular roads
4. Prioritize the natural environment
5. Articulate all mobility systems
6. Establish a clear relationship with what has been built
These 6 premises allow the design of a project that builds a new urban landscape, in which a relationship is clearly established that revolves around the inhabitant and their place of identity. In our context as a country in the tropics, it does not have stations, nature strongly bursts into our city, this allows us to clearly establish a more balanced relationship between the built environment and the natural environment, we managed to convert urbanly unfortunate places with vehicular priority, into integral corridors , functional and urbanly balanced both from the sustainable mobility component and from its natural component, vibrant, exotic, full of places for meeting, daily life and the enjoyment of its citizens.

Planur-e: www.planur-e.es es una revista digital editada en España en materias de territorio, urbanismo, sostenibilidad, paisaje y diseño urbano. Nació con el objetivo de exponer buenas prácticas dando voz a los profesionales, planteando que sean los propios autores de los trabajos quienes los presenten. Se colabora así a su difusión, al tiempo que se ofrece, a aquellos que se aproximan al proyecto, la oportunidad de ver otras formas de trabajar y contrastar sus propias reflexiones y propuestas. Planur-e por sus características pretende llenar un hueco, dada la escasez de publicaciones en estas materias. Alcanza en este momento su número diez, con un planteamiento monográfico y da, al tiempo, en su Miscelánea cabida a múltiples temas. Cuenta ya con un número importante artículos alrededor de 150, hasta el momento, y con autores de muy distintos países, lo que enriquece su tarea de divulgación.
